Thank You For Visiting the Fordham Manor Church.
Established in 1696 for the glory of God, Fordham Manor continues to serve the neighborhood of Kingsbridge in Bronx, NY. Fordham Manor is made up of many different types of people from all walks of life. Our congregation consists of newly married couples, young children, middle aged adults, teens, mature adults, singles, and young adults. We come together on a weekly basis to worship and learn more about our God.
Our desire is to know Christ and make Him known. Our Christian walk doesn't take a break during the week; we believe in living out our faith on a daily basis wherever we find ourselves. For some this may be school, for others work, and for all of us, home. Fordham believes it is important to connect with the people we come into contact with on a regular basis and express our faith in ways that are relevant for the times that we live. (Pastor Joe Hernandez)
Loving God, Loving Each Other, Loving the Community
Fordham Manor Church was established in 1696. We are a multi-ethnic church with 2 vibrant, contemporary worship services on Sunday mornings. Currently, Fordham Manor has over 225 men, women, teens and children that are in attendance on Sundays and throughout the week.
Pastor Irving Rivera served as the Senior Pastor of Fordham Manor Church (FMC) from 1979 to April 2012. When he took over the congregation it was a small dying church with only a handful of people. Through God’s grace, the church was revitalized under his leadership. Our current Senior Pastor, Joe Hernandez, joined Fordham Manor in 1995 and became a Pastor there in 2009.
As a congregation, we are committed to seeing people meet and know Christ through preaching, teaching and serving. Because of this commitment, we believe that every member is a minister and every week we witness the congregation using their gifts to serve the community and each other.
The church is conveniently located close to Lehman College and various mass transit option. We're off the Kingsbridge Road stop on the 4 Train, D Train, 9 bus & 3 Bus. By car we are off of the Fordham Road ramp of the Major Deegan.
